The adoption of a policy on health, work safety and environmental protection allows GTA HYDRO inc. to assert its interest in these issues, to state its objectives in this matter and to inform all of its employees, Clients, Partners and Sub Contractors.
By this policy, GTA HYDRO inc. looks to establish a safe and healthy workplace. To achieve this objective, this policy is based on the accountability of all employees who must integrate into their tasks and functions, the concerns and responsibilities for health, work safety and environmental protection.
By adopting a health, safety and environmental protection policy, GTA HYDRO inc. provides its employees with a safe and healthy workplace in its offices and on the road. GTA HYDRO inc. assures them that they will be informed of the risks to health and safety related to their professional activities.
GTA HYDRO inc. assumes its responsibilities and obligations for compliance with health, safety and physical integrity of its employees as well as those related to environmental protection.
GTA HYDRO inc. intends to comply with laws, decrees, codes and regulations in this area, to eliminate at the source dangers to health and safety as well as protect the environment from risks related to, work, travelling, displacements of its employees, while taking into account its mission, resources and its own constraints.
The Occupational Health and Safety law in the province of Québec defines the prevention aspect and the law on Industrial Accidents and Occupational Diseases defines the post-accident steps. It is under these considerations that the rights and obligations of this policy have been defined.
